Dry and surface-dry skin
Dry skin is a skin type characterized by a lack of moisture, leading to a dry, tight, or rough feeling. It may be prone to flakiness and can appear dull. Dry skin is often caused by factors such as low humidity, harsh weather conditions, or inadequate hydration.
Surface dry skin refers to a condition where the outermost layer of the skin lacks sufficient moisture, resulting in dryness, tightness, or roughness on the skin's surface. Unlike deeper levels of dryness that may involve the entire skin, surface dryness primarily affects the outer layer.
