Smallpox - quick relief for blisters
Enteropox is a very easily contagious smallpox disease caused by an RNA virus in children. Chickenpox, which occurs mostly in late summer and early autumn, is transmitted by droplet infection and through faeces. The symptoms caused by different virus strains are fever and a blistering rash, especially in the mouth, hands and feet, but also elsewhere on the skin, such as the buttocks. Mouth symptoms usually start a couple of days before the rash. The child may also experience a sore throat and stomach problems.
